Mp4 vs. YouTube link for Site Speed

I have been seeking to optimize my e-commerce site to a constant above 90% Performance as rated by GTmetrix. On my home page, I feature two videos that are central to our brand story. www.rayscountryham.com

These videos now appear as YouTube links, and as off-site connections, it appears that they take longer to connect at different times of the day depending on YouTube site speed.

These are proprietary mp4 files that I would like to consider installing on the site instead of the YouTube link. The first video you see on the Home page is 7.4 MB and the second one is 60.1MB.

Question: Would this make the loading of the Home Page faster or slower?

Thanks for writing in! Uploading the videos in your Media and load it on your homepage could make your homepage load a lot less faster. It is best that you stick by hosting the videos on Youtube.
