MP4 video not playing in Firefox but works in IE/Chrome

we have updated to the latest version of Pro and we cannot get a mp4 video to play on our site https://www.plantchampion.com, is there something we are missing?

Hello Sean,

Thanks for writing in! I have tested your site site both in Chrome and Firefox. The video plays though it takes a while to load the page. Is this a 2k or 4K video? If you have the original copy of the video, please convert it to at least 1080p or 720p so that it will load a little bit faster. You may use handbrake (handbrake.fr) in converting the video.

i have tried the format 1080p and 720p and still will not work, it loads in everything but Firefox, I have tried .ogg, .webm and mp4, and it still will not work. I have notice it is on a windows machine where it fails, macs/apple seems to work. is there a way to edit the location in the code were it calls the video? so maybe I can try to by pass the builder and add my own video code?

Hey Sean,

The video works on my end too. I’m using Windows and Firefox. Ruenel used Mac and Firefox. What this means is since it works even in different environments, it’s most probably an issue with your Firefox browser.

There could be a browser extension that is conflicting with the video playback. If you’re using browser extensions, please deactivate all of them temporarily to test if they’re causing the issue. Also try testing in incognito mode and also try Firefox in other computers.

We could not help in this case because it works on our end.
