Moving from http to https brakes layout

Hi,

Need help on our website after moving to https and installing SSL.

Changes on Cornerstone are no longer recognised.
Columns are considered as rows
I can hide page title
Header won’t take changes into account.

Every new settings are not taken into account

How could we repair our website without going back to http

Thanks for your help !

Hello @louiba,

Thanks for asking.

Have you updated the links to HTTPS under Settings > General > WordPress address (URL) and Site Address (URL) ? If there is layout issue then on browser console it should reflect the error message. Can you please share the error message with us? Please refer following post and scroll down to section How to Setup WordPress to Use SSL and HTTPS and see if you have missed something while implementing.

Thanks.

Hello @Prasant

Thanks for the answer and your reactivity !

I’ve already updated links:

It seems like wordpress won’t take CSS modifications from theme x

Any Cornerstone structure is not taken into account, like the columns that are considered as rows in my sections

Do you know how to fix theses issues

Thanks for your help

Hi there,

It seems that the main CSS style of the theme is not loaded because the site is trying to load https://jardiner-avec-la-lune.manomano.fr/wp-content/themes/xstyle.css?ver=4.8.2 instead of https://jardiner-avec-la-lune.manomano.fr/wp-content/themes/x/style.css?ver=4.8.2 which is causing the layout issue.

Would you mind mentioning how you updated your site to https? It should be easy if after activating SSL, you will just need to update your site URL using the Better Search and replace plugin to update all the none https URLs to https.

Hi

Thanks for your help.

After activating SSL, I’ve updated all my website URL using Better Search and Replace.

I’ve also change the issue with the css not loaded. Unfortunatly, our website still has the CSS not working.

All cornerstone changes are not effective. I don’t see why after activating SSL and used BS&R pluging our website has those issues.

Thanks again for your help and support

Hi there,

I think the main cause of this issue is your CloudFlare, please turn off its minification for JS and CSS under Speed section. Then purge all your CF cache.

If this doesn’t fix the issue, then please provide the following login credentials in a secure note.

  1. Admin
  2. FTP
  3. CloudFlare

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks a lot.

It actually worked well.

Thanks for your help

Glad to hear it’s sorted.

Cheers!
