Move title above feature image

#1. How can I move the blog post title from below the feature image to ABOVE?

I am using Ethos.

I have read the past threads, I have copied the file wp-content/themes/x/framework/views/{STACK}/content.php to your child theme wp-content/themes/x-child/framework/views/{STACK}/content.php

I am confused about the newt step - when I open content.php it opens up in TextEdit on my Mac… is this correct? What do I do now?

#2. How do I delete the categories, author, date & number of comments from showing in the blog post? I do not want it above or below the feature image.

If this isn’t possible, how do I have this appear below the feature image (with only the title above)?

Thanks for writing in.

  1. It’s not just a content.php, it has multiple templates and you will need to edit them since the code you wish to switch places belongs to different template files. But the easiest workaround is using jQuery, and no need to edit your template files. Example, you can add this code to your global custom javascript.

jQuery( '.single-post .entry-header' ).insertBefore('.entry-featured');

  1. Please go to Admin > X or Pro > Launch > Theme Options > Blog > Content and turn off POST META

Oh wow, that was so much easier than what I had been trying to do… thanks!

Just for my understanding, did I need to copy copied the file wp-content/themes/x/framework/views/{STACK}/content.php to child theme wp-content/themes/x-child/framework/views/{STACK}/content.php or the code was enough?

Also, how do I add a space between my title & the feature image? It’s very squashed at the top…

Hi there,

No need to copy, that code should be enough. As for spacing, you may add this CSS to your global custom CSS with your preferred space

.single-post .entry-header {
margin-bottom: 30px;
}

Hope these help.
