Move CS column by dragging

Using Skeleton View in Cornerstone, I can drag a column within a row to another position to effectively swap places between columns. This is very convenient since the column itself may have formatting (CSS etc) which I want to preserve when moving.

However, I can’t find a way to move a column with its contents to another row or section. Is that even possible?

Hi Kalle,

Yes, it’s still possible with skeleton mode.

Please check video - https://www.screencast.com/t/u2xedOcA

Thanks

Thanks Paul – that at least had me learn how to enable Flash in Chrome
However, the very nifty popup menu used in the video does not appear in Skeleton Mode when I am using Cornerstone. Why not?

Specs: X v. 6.5.5 ; WordPress 5.2.1; Chrome 74.0.3729.169; MacOS 10.13.6

Hey Kalle,

Would you mind double checking if you are using the latest version of X and Cornerstone? If you are still not seeing anything when you switch to Skeleton Mode, kindly try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If the issue persists, please provide us with the admin access to your site in a Secure Note:

I have checked disabling all plugins – except Cornerstone, of course  Nothing changed.

As I stated before, I’m running X version 6.5.5. Cornerstone is v 3.4.6 which is not the latest – does that matter? I am slightly oversensitive to upgrades and prefer no to install them during busy intervals.

Hi @Kalle_Johansson,

It could be the issue, please update both X theme & Cornerstone plugin to the latest version:

Here is the update guide:

Let us know how it goes!
