Module images not loading

Wordpress Version: 4.8 running X – Child Theme theme
X Version: 5.1.1
Cornerstone Version: 2.0.6

Site: https://stackify17.wpengine.com/

After installing and updating to the latest versions of X theme template and Cornerstone, none of the recently loaded image files are appearing. The preview looks fine, but the actual page does not display and the inspector shows the src as (unknown).

Older images in the system will display in both preview and the live page, but anything I’ve loaded into the media library (specifically this week) does not display. The new images appear in posts if you add them through the editor or load from the media file url, just not modules on a page.

Hi There,

The Featured Box is working with Image and Icon can you clarify the issue?

Thank you

Here is the issue again, in case you cannot see what I have listed above.

The below image is what the cornerstone page editor looks like. NOTE: The first two have newly loaded images, the rest were pre-existing when the original site was cloned to make this one.

Below is what the same page looks like live…First two images AND titles are not displaying. No new images loaded into the media library appear in any new modules that feature images.

This is from the inspector view, showing the module cannot find the image source, even though it appears in the preview mode & the file is accessible from a direct link, so it’s not the image.

Hey Stackify,

You have a plugin called “Keyword to URL” that is stripping out anything called “retrace” or “prefix”. This operation takes place during a save, which would be why the preview works, but that content not on the front end.

YES!

Thank you @alexander!!! Totally fixed the issue.

Weird thing is, we have that plugin on another site, same install and versions and it has never been an issue before.

great! Glad to hear that worked for you. It’s probably just related specifically to what was being targeted. I’m not sure at what point that plugin runs. It’s probably after Cornerstone generates the page shortcodes and before the content is fully saved. So when the page tries to save, WordPress sees links inside shortcode attributes. Because those don’t accept markup it’s considered invalid and just removes that attribute.
