Modifying Categories in Pro

Hello Friends,

Is there a way to edit categories in X / Pro themes? I would like the category name displayed as well as the description? Currently it only shows the article titles associated with that category. Also is there a way to control how much of the article text is displayed before it shows “… Read more”

Thanks for reaching out.

It can’t be edited through the builder, but through custom templates. But, you can edit your category in Admin > Posts > Categories and edit any category and change the archive title and subd-title.

Though, it will only work if you’re displaying standard header instead of custom one. It’s part of the landmark which is inactive if custom header is active.

And about the excerpt length, please check this https://www.wpexplorer.com/wordpress-excerpt-length/. And you can add the code to your child theme’s functions.php
