Modify entry width on post pages

Hi there,
How can I modify the entry width on post pages? I have tried different css but none of it worked. Here is the latest following one of the other topics:

.single-post .x-main {
width: 80% !important;
margin: auto;
float: none;
}

as well as

.single-post .entry-featured {
max-width: 80%;
float: left;
margin-right: 2%;
}

Hi Illa,

This code should work:

.single-post .x-main.full {
    width: 80% !important;
    margin: auto;
    float: none;
}

In case the code does not take effect, kindly check all the codes that is in your Global CSS and make sure that there is no CSS error.
