Modern Sliders - Logo Carousel Slider

Hi,

I have another query about the new Modern Sliders. In this case, Logo Carousel Slider. You have this example set-up using SVGs. Most of the logos I have and need to use are not available as SVG files, just JPGs or PNGs. Is it possible to convert this slider to use JPGs or PNGs? If so, how?!

One other question, I have created a slider within a Global Block, which can be seen perfectly within the Global Block builder, but when the Global Block is used within a Page Element, the Global Block is not visible either within the Page Builder nor on the public side. Are Modern Sliders compatible with Global Blocks, or do they need to be created fresh each time?

If you only have png or jpeg images, you can edit the JSON code and replace svg to image. Make sure to supply the direct image URL as well. And then, you will have to edit the slide by removing the Raw Content element.

You can replace it with the Image element and then supply the image URL with the dynamic content {{dc:looper:field key="image"}}

You can use the Slider inside a global block. Just make sure that when you insert the global block, you have defined the container to 100% if you want to stretch the carousel as fullwidth. The slider may not properly display in the builder though. when viewing the live page, you should be able to fully see that it just perfectly works.

If I use SVGs, how do I do this properly? I have tried opening an SVG file with Notepad and then copying and pasting the code into the "<svg>" line of the Looper. However, it is clearly wrong as it breaks the slider.

Hello Christopher,

You must be very careful with the quotes in your SVG code. If it is using double quotes, your SVG declaration should use single quotes like this:

Hello Ruenel,

Thank you again for your help. However, I cannot seem to get an SVG to work. I have tried using single quotes as you suggested, but the slider remains blank every time I replace an existing SVG line of code from the Logo carousel Slider template.

The appropriate comma is used after the curly bracket if there is any other code after this section. As well as the above SVG I have tried several others, all with the same results.

Using SVG Viewer - View, save, and optimize SVGs and putting the SVG code that comes with the sliders I actually get this:

Whereas my SVG code works perfectly in SVG Viewer - View, save, and optimize SVGs but causes the slider to disappear completely in Pro.

Hi Tristup,

Thank you. What you have placed above works for me. I have also managed to get some of the other SVGs working too. For anyone interested, these are the steps I have used:

Open the SVG file with Notepad and copy everything including and between the tags.
Remove any width and height statements towards the start of the code.
Copy and paste the above code into https://www.svgviewer.dev/ and click “Optimize” to get the code into one line.
Paste the code from the previous step into the looper.
Alter the viewBox settings in the SVG till they are right
Alter the “height” and “topPosition” settings until they are right.

There is just one issue I have remaining where there is a larger gap between two SVGs - I will reply back with details when I have added all other SVGs to request further support.
