Modern Sliders Fullscreen Slider (stacked): Change slides by scrolling with mousewheel?

I’m trying to reproduce this layout: https://www.zara.com/de/
Tthe modern fullscreen slider seems to come close. I activated Swipe Y in stacked mode, but I still can’t change / scroll the slides by mousewheel on the desktop - which in my opinion doesn’t correspond to the general UI experience with such fullscreen sliders.

How can I achieve the slide change / by scrolling with mousewheel (desktop) and also swiping?

And in addition: The slide change is very quick, without any speedramps. Is there any possibility to influence this behaviour?

Hi Daryl,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your website on desktop and find that Mosuewheel is working with Swap. If you are experiencing something else, please provide any video that helps us to recognize the problem.
If you are still having this issue, please mention the device, browser name and version, and also the operating system you are using, which helps us to replicate the issue at our end.

Thanks

What is “swap”? I created a test page with the default fullscreen slider (see secure note). It is not possible for me to change the slides in Chrome, Firefox or other browsers on desktop PC by using the mousewheel (which scrolls correctly everywhere else. On mobile devices change works by swiping).

In addition, there are strange visual effects when changing slides. I would expect the slides to slide smoothly on top of each other without intervening frames from other slides. If you switch from slide to slide (e.g. blue, “This is a fullscreen slider” to green, “Content is centered on both axes”), the slide red “The choice is yours” always intervenes briefly. It’s not supposed to be like that, is it?

To be honest, it’s very tedious to document these problems in detail every time, I can’t imagine that the slide change works anywhere else with a normally set mouse wheel. I have now created another video (secure note) that shows that the switch is only possible with a click (Chrome and Firefox).

As I said, I want to reproduce something like https://www.zara.com/de/. Does the template offer any options to set transition times / scroll speeds? It is currently very disappointing that these templates have very little customization…

Hi Daryl,

I am sorry for the confusion. The scrolling and swiping are working with the site you mentioned in your first post. I have checked the video and found that you are expecting the same behavior with the Fullscreen Slider, which is not possible right at this moment. But, I will check with our development team and let you know if anything can be achieved with this.

Thanks

Hi Daryl,

Just an update, I had a discussion with Charlie and this feature can be considered in the future.

Thanks

Okay so it really doesn’t work, thanks for the info.

Maybe you could then check again whether the behavior really corresponds to the expected user experience (appearance of a third chart during the transition) and smoother changeover times with ease effects that could be set would also make sense.

Thanks for the feedback, Daryl. I’ve noted all this as an internal feature request.
