I have spent the entire day deleting and uploading different versions of the ME Calendar. The plugin caused my site to crash. My hosting company informed me the plugin is NOT compatible with X. We are launching in the morning!!! Does this calendar not work at all with X?
Hi there,
I am sorry for the inconvenience, we are here to be able to help you. Honestly Hostgator staff did not have a correct assesment of the situation. The MEC plugin is supported in our theme. Actually we include it in our theme if you go to x > Overview and scroll down you will see that we also include the plugin.
There seems to be another problem causing the issue but we need to have more information to be able to check. The latest version of the MEC supported by the theme is 2.2.6. You have the older version. I suggest that you backup your website completely and update the plugin.
Then kindly make sure that you enable the WordPress debugging so when the site crashes it shows the actual error message instead of the white screen.
Also kindly get back to us with the exact steps to recreate the issue so that we can also check the case and suggest the solutions.
Thank you.
I did that and this is what I am seeing…not sure if this is the problem. I also applied for a SSL with my hosting company. Wondering if this is a problem?

Here is the other: (index):1 This page includes a password or credit card input in a non-secure context. A warning has been added to the URL bar. For more information, see https://goo.gl/zmWq3m.

I got the plugin to work but there are still errors/problems. I did everything you told me to. I also see an error for UberMenu jquery but can’t figure out how to fix it.
Hi there,
All seems to be working fine on my end, what error you’re getting? And where exactly? Your Ubermeny is perfectly working too and there is no JS error. Though, yes, I see some error on first load and could be due to cache, but after reload and I checked the response header, there is no cache anymore. Perhaps you deactivate it, was is setup for CF too?
Thanks!
I uninstalled the plugin and just reinstalled. I installed the plugin you told me about and the errors came up under style? Missing contact-form-7
woocommerce-layout
woocommerce-smallscreen
woocommerce-general
Also the plugin works but on the homepage the countdown MORE INFO link doesn’t link to anything and on the acutal EVENT page some of the events (WORDSHOP) don’t appear? Is the plugin working?
We are scheduled to launch at 2p. PLEASE HELP!
Hi there,
I checked it again and still confusing, what’s with the Woocommerce issues? I thought we’re discussing MEC? And what errors under style?
Please provide more screenshots of the errors and issues.
About the SSL, you should contact your hosting provider for proper setup. Our theme only uses the URL and resources provided by the system where it’s running.
Thanks!
You are correct let me stick to the MEC problem. The plugin is still having issues. The NEXT UPCOMING EVENT (that comes with MEC) the link for more info when clicked gives an error.
Also on the actual EVENTS page the calendar doesn’t show some of the events that were added (ex. Wordshop Events).
Making sure my request is clear (we launch soon and this is the last problem - same ones mentioned above):
1 - The MEC Countdown Slider on the Homepage shows but when clicking on EVENT DETAIL it gives an error/doesn’t link
2 - Also on the actual EVENTS page the calendar doesn’t show some of the events that were added (ex. Wordshop Events). They don’t appear as dots on the calendar or on the right hand side.
Hi,
- The events url is in conflict with your portfolio slug
When going to this url - http://livelifeesteem.com/events/nate-gadsdens-writers-wordshop/
It’s trying to pull it from your portfolio list instead of events and that p[ortfolio does not exist thus it is returning a 404 error.
I went ahead and change your events slug to my-events
- I checked but didn’t see
Wordshop Events
in your events list. Did you deleet that event?
Thanks
