Modern Events Calendar

[ddubois63]

I am optimizing my website and see that MEC is loading three typefonts, Montserrat, Oxygen, and Oswald. Two of those I set in the styling options. Moterserrat (the default font) is unnecessary. Is there a way to disable loading the default font?How do I do that? It will speed my site. Because I am getting Modern Events Calendar through you, I don’t have a support key to go direct to MEC. Need a hand. Thank you.

Hey @ddubois63,

Please try adding this code in your functions.php

add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'remove_mec_google_font', 999);

function remove_mec_google_font() {
  wp_dequeue_style('mec-google-fonts');
}

I’ve tested that code in my local site and it removes the default MEC Google font successfully.

Hope that helps.
