Modern Events Calendar URLS w/ Categories

Hello,

I have implemented Modern Events Calendar (v 3.16 through X Theme Dashboard) and am working on building out some events and categories.

I have several categories created and have begun to create events and am noticing when assigning them to categories they don’t appear to follow the post permalinks.

The categories seem to have their own URL (www.site.com/events/[category_name])
Events are just dumped as (www.site.com/events/[event_name])

Shouldn’t they be falling under the category URL? Is it possible to do this?

Thanks for the reply. I had already taken those steps prior to submitting my request and it did alter the URLs of my traditional “posts” / blog entries, but the URLs for Modern Events Calendar remained the same.

Hi There,

The permalink of categories and events doesn’t follow the post permalinks.

You can change the category and event slugs under M.E. Calendar > Settings > Slugs/Permalinks:

That’s kind of what I was (unfortunately) thinking. Doesn’t appear to be much in the way of customization for their links.

Hi @stilemas,

It’s actually a custom permalink and rewrites on their end, so another customization isn’t possible so they only added it as an option to allow slug changes.
