Modern Events Calendar, stuck on version 6.8.10

Back in December 2022 I shared that the Modern Events Calendar was out of date. Since then, I’ve seen other forum posts where others are having the same issue. I’ve deleted and re-install the plugin to get the latest version, but it is once again out-of-date.

This seems to be an ongoing issue. Can we please have it fixed once and for all? I am currently running version 6.8.10, but I can see on the WordPress updates screen that version 6.8.15 is out.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for writing in! The latest support plugin version of MEC is still up to 6.8.10. Our developers are still testing for conflicts and incompatibilities with the latest release of MEC. It should be available once they are done with testing. You can check out the latest compatible and available versions here:

Maybe it’s just me, but this seems to be a recurring problem with MEC. Not a good sign when I’ve been contemplating migrating our site from “The Events Calendar Pro”. I do like the idea of using whatever is baked in, but if there are ongoing conflicts, then this probably shouldn’t be bundled as a “value add” – if that makes sense.

I already forwarded your concern to our developers. The MEC 6.8.15 version should be available in our Themeco plugin repository soon. Please watch out for it.
