Modern Events Calendar Permissions for Editor Role

Hi, I’m using Modern Events Calendar on one of my clients websites and their user role for admin access is an Editor. They asked if they could have access to the settings for the MEC plugin so they could update the notification emails themselves. I used the ‘Members’ plugin by MemberPress so I could give them access to it, without them having to be an Administrator. These are the options that were available to select:

mec_add_booking
mec_bookings
mec_coupons
mec_import_export
mec_report
mec_settings
mec_shortcodes

I enabled them all and the settings option appeared in their dashboard. The problem is, after making any changes to the notification > booking and clicking the save button, it doesn’t save it. After refreshing the page it reverts back to how it was before making any changes. I have no idea what I need to do to fix this. I hope you can help!

Thanks!

Hello @core365,

Thanks for writing in! Based on the information that you have shared, it could only mean that the MemberPress plugin does not have proper access to those MEC fields. MEC plugin settings allow changes only by the site admin. I would highly recommend that you contact the creators of the MemberPress plugin. You may ask them if the plugin supports the changes that you want to happen with the MEC plugin settings.

Be advised that MemberPress is a 3rd party plugin. Contacting the creators of the plugin may give you more information on whether the changes you need are possible or not.

Best Regards.

Hi @ruenel,

Ok, thanks for letting me know!

Thanks!
