Hi X Team,
I was updating my version of WordPress and all my plugins to get current. When I got to the Modern Events Calendar, the update took my web-site down. Can you please check to see if you can correct it? We rely heavily on the MEC plug-in. More information to follow.
Hey @bluetroop2,
This is not an issue with MEC but possibly how updating plugins work in your site. It looks like the MEC folder has been renamed and .bak was attached to it (see the following screenshot).
Please login to your server using FTP and remove .bak. If this doesn’t help, please back up your site and delete modern-events-calendar in your plugin’s folder. Or, reinstall it via X > Validation.
Only if none of the suggestion helps, please give us FTP access.
Thanks.
It would not let me rename the file folder in my file manager, so I uninstalled and tried to reinstall it again, and still getting an error. Can you please take a look? I’m building it under a subdomain on my primary web-site - http://lakecitieschamber.bluetroop.com. More information to follow.
I hope it will save all the data I set up.
Hi @bluetroop2,
The reason why your MEC is not working because you are using an older version of PHP. When I tried to update your PHP version from 5.6 to 7.4 your MEC plugin is now working properly and there will be no error when activating the plugin.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Excellent, so my PHP version is now currently up to date, no action needed on my part?
Hey @bluetroop2,
