Modern Events Calendar Modal problem

Hi all,

here’s an odd one. When creating MEC events using the PRO editor the details don’t show up on the modal when clicked on from a shortcode. If the details are created using Gutenburg the details show just fine. If the event is viewed as a regular single event the PRO edited details are present - just not formatted very well!

Here’s what I get…

Pro Edited:

Gutenburg Edited:

any ideas on how to show PRO edited content on a MEC modal?

Thanks all

Dave

Hi,

secure note added.

No it’s the modal in the shortcodes settings.

Cheers

Hello Dave,

Kindly edit your page again. Remove the text element and use the classic text element where you insert the MEC shortcode.

Please let us know if this works out for you.

Hi,

no, afraid there’s no change - even tried with classic raw content for the MEC shortcode.

odd…

Cheers

Hey Dave,

I think there is a misunderstanding here. To clarify and going back to your first post,

the issue is not about the MEC Shortcode but the output of Pro Content Builder created content in MEC’s Modal (Shortcode Setting).

I’ve replicated this in my test site and this happens because Pro’s V2 (non-Classic) elements could only be loaded on its own page (Separate Window) and could not be displayed by calling it from another page like the Modal method.

I think what Ruenel meant is you should use Classic Elements instead. If you wish to use V2 elements, you need to use the Separate Window method.

To set an example, I’ve replaced the V2 Text element with a Classic Text element in one of your events and it shows up in MEC’s Modal.

Hope that helps.

Hi,

yeah that kinda fixes the issue - but not all the styling comes through, section css changes, column background colours etc. Not really much use in using the PRO editor at all! So we’re very limited in what we can put in the modal. Sad as the rest of the sites uses modals quite nicely.

Thanks for looking into this for me. We’ll make a decision on whether to use the modal or go for individual pages for the events.

Thanks

Dave
