Modern Events Calendar: can't edit the page in Cornerstone

I have installed MEC and created a new page on my site to host the calendar. However, I cannot seem to get the different calendar views to work by changing the shortcodes. I have tried changing the shortcodes on the WordPress page and also by editing in Cornerstone.

When I open up to edit in Cornerstone, I get this screen:

and I cannot add elements. I was hoping to add a raw content box to use the shortcodes in.

What am I missing here? I would like to be able to see the calendar in Masonry or week view.

Hi Leah,

Can you share the page URL with issue? It seems like that specific page, as stated on the error is controlled by third party plugin. That means a plugin template is overriding the page. The template put content on the page that is why it is not working with the builder.
