Modern Events Calendar - Add Image To Grid Below Date

Hi,

We are using MEC and the Upcoming Events (Grid) on a page and would like to add in the event’s featured image between the day and the event description section.

Is it possible to do this, as we can find no settings to switch this on. If not, can the appropriate code be added to the child-theme’s functions.php to add the image?

hanks for writing in! Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by MEC. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. Themes are quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.

The response I expected!

If I were to attempt to add in the php to the appropriate MEC file, where would I best place the customised file in the Pro / child theme so that it is not overwritten by any updates?

Hello Christopher,

Your MEC Grid View is displayed using a skin.

At the moment, there is no skin editor feature in MEC. You cannot also edit this with modifications. You cannot add a featured image in the Grid View skin.
