Modern Event Calendar Year View - from 1970

I can see this same issue in a previous ticket -

BUT i cannot find a solution.

I have contacted the other xtheme user (silmicemi) to understand if they have solved this, However, I can see on their site that the event year view still only displays from 1970, so I don’t think it was fixed.

I have tried everything you suggested on the ticket above, but issue is still there.

a) Go to page - https://michaelchurch.london/events/
b) Click on Yearly - instead of 2018 year being displayed it switches to 1970 ??? - no way to type in the year so you have to click to get back to 2018 !!!

Can you provide a fix ?

many thanks

Mark

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Can you please confirm that you are using the latest supported version which is 2.6.3? By the way, we are testing 2.7.2 version and it should be out and available in automatic updates soon.

Please watch out for it.

Hi @RueNel,

yes using 2.6.3.
Will await update and run again.
I can see this has been an issue outside xtheme, and in my testing I could see this happening in calendar developers support forums too - however there too, there seemed to be no fix ?

Lets hope version 2.7.2. fixes it

Great!
2.7.2 version should be out in automatic updates soon.

Hi Just updated to 2.7.2 -> issue is still there.

Yearly calendar view still showing 1970 ???

Hi there,

Would you mind providing your admin login credentials in a secure note? I like to test some setting first.

Thanks!

sure.

FYI, I deactivated all plugins, and switched to twentyseventeen theme
(Cleared all caches, restarted browsers etc)

AND issue still remains, so I am pretty clear it is not to any conflict.

Hi there,

This seems to be a bug in the MEC. I did try the case on my local installation and the yearly view indeed goes back to 1970.

I used the latest version of the plugin. I will add this to our issue tracker. Our development team will check the case and if there is no environmental factor going on they will report to the developers of the MEC. Then we will need to wait for a new release from the side.

By the way I tested the case on my local installation with the exact criteria needed by disabling all the plugins and changing the theme to WordPress default theme and only having the MEC activated. That showed there is no conflict with the theme or any other plugin and this is indeed related to the plugin itself.

Thank you.

Thanks Christopher.

Have a great day

Thanks for your efforts also in debugging this issue, you are welcome
