Modern event calendar widget does not respect settings

Hello, these steps produce a bug for me:

1. Install and activate the Modern Events Calendar plugin via the X settings
2. Create a “grid view” shortcode in the Modern Events Calendar settings

3. In Appearance > Widgets, add a widget with the new short code to Header 3

4. On the cornerstone editor, add the widget area Header 3 to the page.

5. On the page shown to users, a carousel widget is added rather than a grid widget:

Please let me know if this is the expected behavior, and if so, what is the correct way to add a specific shortcode widget to a page using cornerstone.

Thanks for posting in! The images you have included is not viewable. Please use 3rd party screenshot sharing sites instead.

If you want to add a MEC shortcode into a page created with Cornerstone, you can insert a text element and insert the shortcode in it. Please make sure that you have created the grid view and not the carousel view. Thanks, I think that using the shortcode in the text element will work. However, I’m pretty sure there is a bug with the widgets. I updated two of the links above to be proper links to screenshots, but I can only have a maximum of 2 links per post.

It may be still going to be the same since the widgets are just using the same code as the shortcode. I tried the procedure on my end without any issue. Perhaps what we need to do for now is to check your setup and check what’s causing this. Please provide your site’s URL and admin login credentials in a secure note.
