When trying to update MEC it says theme is updated but still keeps the same version:

Also this old version of the plugin flags vulnerability:

Please advise on how to update the plugin

I’m experiencing a similar issue with Envira Gallery. I’ve also tried deleting and reinstalling, but still not working.

Thanks for reaching out.

I’ve checked your site and was able to identify the issue you described. I recommend first copying your live site to a staging environment (you can follow this guide: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/). Once that’s done, please delete the existing version of the plugin and reinstall it from the X dashboard.

If everything works correctly on the staging site, you can then replicate the same steps on your live site. Before making any changes on the live site, I strongly recommend taking a full backup so you can restore it in case anything goes wrong.
