Hi…will the content area modal ever replace the clunky and awkward to implement lightbox shortcode? I would love to use the modal for videos but they don’t stop playing upon the modal closing…seems like a basic function, is it really that hard to develop?

The Content Modal is more for a general form of content. It was not made specifically for videos or does not have video integration like the Lightbox shortcode so it is not the right element to use for this use case.
We could not answer if it is hard to develop as we, the support staff, are not involved in product development.
