Let me heath up an old topic. At least the one that I was mentioned many times before. 
480 px Viewport size preview is unrealistic. As long as X/Pro has it, people will build broken mobile sites. I see that literally all the time.
360px, 375px are more realistic, and the preview needs to check common 320px too.
I’d really like to see some solution for this one day. Maybe a sub-indicator next to the 480px button, that would allow narrowing the preview to 360 and 320px?

As for the time being, I would suggest you to use a tool like Chrome Developer to test your website in similar smaller screens. You can follow this video guide for more information (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyEQgjbTbAw).

CTRL(CMD)+SHIFT+M for mobile preview is my best friend!
But it is not convenient inside Content Builder. It can be done, but with bad UX.
So we have to save and go in a separate tab. Ideally inside an Incognito window where WP toolbar isn’t in the way.
All that adds too many extra steps. The best way is to have the right preview inside Content Builder.
