how can I change the transition (animation) for the background for the navigation off canvas (mobile menu)? My toplinks are already sliding in from the top. But the background just fades in. I know where to change the speed in Cornerstone, but there is no option to make it slide in from the top to the bottom and then slide out from the bottom to the top.

You can set your background color to transparent. Insert a DIV element as your wrapper container for the Navigation Inline element and in this DIV element, you can apply Effects that slides in from the Top. The DIV element will also have the background color so that it would feel that all of the Off-Canvas will be sliding in from the top.

Oh nice. That worked great. And how about adding a slight delay to the top links when sliding in? So that the menu opens, an the toplinks just a few ms after the div.
Is that possible?

You can add an Effect to the Navigation Inline element with a longer duration so that it will display after the menu opens.
