Mobile menu not working in Internet Explorer

Hi,

The mobile menu on this site http://www.breastcancerkent.org.uk/ is not working in Internet Explorer - looks like it’s IE11 onwards.

Please can you advise?

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

Please update your theme to the latest version, try manually installing the latest one as it’s now named Pro instead of X Pro.

Thanks!

OK thank you.

You’re welcome!

Hi,

I’ve updated the theme but it still doesn’t work on IE http://www.breastcancerkent.org.uk/

When you say upload theme manually as it’s now Pro and not X Pro - do you mean via Themes ? as themes does show Pro. already.

Hello @noznewman,

Thanks for writing in and sorry that you’re experiencing this issue. I’m noticing when inspecting your site with my DevTools that it has a JavaScript error on the page. This could likely be the source of the menu not working on mobile. Do you happen to have any 3rd party plugins running on your website? If so, try deactivating those one at a time and then trying out the menu on your website to see if that corrects the issue. If you find a plugin happens to be interfering with the functionality of your mobile menu, you will want to contact the developer of that plugin for assistance with the issue.

Let us know how that goes. If you don’t seem to find any sort of 3rd party plugin interference, let us know and we can continue to look into this for you; however, your mobile menu should definitely work fine in IE11.

Thanks.

Hi,

Other than the X extensions I have Yoast and Ninja Forms (see attached).

I’m conscious of deactivating Ninja forms - will that mean I have to configure the forms again when I reactivate?

Also, the menu now seems to have disappeared completely in IE??

I see the issue.

It’s because you have a custom self flex for your Navigation Inline.

I changed it to Fill Space and it’s ok now.

If you hover over the menu items with submenu, the submenu displays on the right. That is a known issue which is currently under investigation.

I removed the login credentials you inserted in your first post. Please change your username and password and next time, please post credentials in a Secure Note.

Thanks.

Thanks Xian,

Can you also advise any further on why the mobile menu isn’t showing the sub menu’s as per my original issue report?
Assume also the formatting (center aligned) is a known issue?

That is also a known issue. The problem with IE is it doesn’t have much support for new CSS3 features which is used in Pro unlike the rest of the popular modern browsers. Please stay tuned for updates.

Thanks.

OK thanks Xian.

You are most welcome and thanks for understanding.
