Mobile Menu doesn't work after WordPress update + other problems

Hi,

I use X, Integrity stack. I updated to WP 5.3.2 last night. Two things happened:

  1. My mobile drop-down menu stopped working. It works here: https://avidcareerist.com/x/#/options/x-stack, but not on my phone.

  2. My mobile site won’t display the (extensive) content on this page:

The content is there. I can click the white space and the links will load. But you can’t see them.

It works here: https://avidcareerist.com/x/#/options/x-stack?url=https%3A%2F%2Favidcareerist.com%2Fexecutive-job-search-blog%2F, but not on my phone.

I’ve also tested it on Android and iPhone phones other than mine. Didn’t work there either.

  1. Everything is fine on desktop.

  2. I noticed there’s an update for X. I loaded it, hoping it would solve the above-noted problems. It did not. Plus, it crashed my homepage content and loaded a bunch of Cornerstone boilerplate content on both desktop and mobile instead.

Have had better days. Help appreciated!

Thank you,

Donna

P.S. Current state is I reloaded a back-up from 7/23/19 to restore my homepage, then updated WP again to 5.3.2 as the reload didn’t fix any of the non-homepage problems.

Hello Donna,

Thanks for writing in!

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

And please clear your browser cache too. You may use private browsing mode in testing your site to make sure that you are viewing the latest codes from the updates and not the cached version in your browser.

And since you are using SiteGround, could you please clear your site cache and disable the supercacher in your hosting panel? The SuperCacher is developed by SiteGround exclusively for their customers. It increases the number of hits a site can handle and boosts the website loading speed. The SuperCacher includes 4 different caching options for maximum optimization of your websites. You can access the tool by clicking on the SuperCacher icon in your cPanel.

For more information about this, please check it out here: https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/supercacher/supercacher_intro.htm

Hope this helps.
