Mobile menu does not collapse / expand after theme update

Hi support,

I’m sharing a link to the staging site for our project: https://oceanfinstag.wpengine.com/
The wordpress theme and cornerstone plugin were updated to the latest version yesterday. Before installing updates, the mobile menu was functioning correctly (collapsing and expanding on tap). However, after installing updates, it seems to be fixed in an expanded state only.

Please let me know if you need login creds to access the backend as assess for any issues. Any help / advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi Vivek,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked and found the issue you explained here. It has been found a JavaScript error shown in the Browser Console, which might be the reason behind your issue. If that does not help, there might be some different reasons behind your issue. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue
5.CSS/JS Customization
6.Disabling Cache
7.Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If none of the above helps and you are still getting the issue, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Thanks @tristup! The console error is from a JS API for google maps. The API is registered for the live site and not the staging site, hence it shows up here…but I don’t think it has anything to do with the mobile menu.
I have followed the steps in the docs for theme related issues , plugin conflicts, cache, CDN, etc. but the issue is persisting.
I have shared the login details in a secure note with my post. Could you please take a look when you get a chance? Thanks!

Hi Vivek,

I have investigated your staging site and found that the child theme is the reason behind your issue. Once the parent theme is activated the problem is solved. I would suggest you check the child theme and custom code written into it to get rid of this issue.

Investigation on custom coding or related issues is out of the scope of theme support, I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you on this or you can avail of our newly launched service called One, where we answer the questions beyond normal theme support.

Thanks
