Mobile Menu broke when updating X/Cornerstone

Hello,

It appears that when we updated X and Cornerstone our mobile menu broke. We have also tested on a staging site with our previous install and see what it was the theme upgrade that broke the menu. You will see an attached picture. The mobile menu does not collapse.

We have removed CSS and also disabled plugins and still experiencing the same issues. (We have since put the CSS back in)

Please let us know what we can do. I have attached credentials for a login. Looking forward to hearing back and thank you for the help.

Hello @fbaradmin,

Thanks for writing in!

I tried checking the website and can see that mobile menu is not working. I tried doing troubleshooting but it’s not working. However, I installed WP Server Info plugin and can see that you are using PHP version 5.6.38. I suggest you to update PHP to at least version 7 to avoid any compatibility issues. Please take a look at WordPress server requirement page. https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/

Although you have shared the login details, I am not allowed to do deep troubleshooting without taking due permission from customer. So I suggest you to please test for plugin conflict from Plugins > Installed Plugins and deactivate all the active plugins other then Cornerstone. After that clear browser cache and then try loading the website and see if mobile menu is working. If it’s working fine then you need to reactivate one plugin at a time to narrow down which one is causing the issue.

In case problem is still there, please give us the permission to test the website further. While we are testing, there may be some issues with the layout temporarily.

Thanks.

No luck. You have permission to continue. Please proceed. Please take a look at the functions.php, and custom.js under the Editor in Appearance. All worked fine until X/ Cornerstone upgrade. Thank you

Please see comment above - thank you!

Hi @fbaradmin

I have investigated this issue further and found that your child theme customizations causing this issue. I have disabled your child theme by activating the parent X theme and then your mobile menu started to function properly.

You need to check your child theme customizations in-order to isolate the root cause of this issue.

Thanks!
