I have made a site on my local host that works nicley on desktops, however, when I go to the site on mobile it’s very disorganized. Is there a way to build the site with mobile view in mind? Changing the resolution in cornerstone does not represent accurate changes when I visit the site on my iphone X.
Hi,
Xtheme by default is already mobile responsive. Can you provide us more information (perhaps some screenshot)
by what you mean by very disorganized.
You can check how your site looks by clicking on the mobile icon.
You can also check how it looks on multiple device on the link below
Thanks
This is my phone when I go to the domain of my local hosting and a screenshot of responsinator.com:
They are totally different and I cannot figure out why. I have no plugins for mobile installed and I have not made any additional changes to any code.None of my images load and it appears to have blog posts of some sort at the top of the site on my phone but thats not there on the desktop verson of cornerstone or responisnator.
When I click “customize” under the theme settings it brings me to an option to “switch to mobile theme”. When I switch it shows an accurate representation of what its trying to load, however I want the cornerstone view to represent what were trying to load. Why is cornerstone showing a different mobile version?
Hello There,
When use 3rd party site, most probably some of the styling css files and JS files were not able to load due to CORS. This could be the reason why your site isn’t displaying. So instead of using a 3rd party site, since you have your site locally, please use the built in responsive simulator in your browser. Like in Chrome, you can use the responsive emulator which is better because it will always load all your site resources without issues. To know more about Chrome’s responsive emulator, please check this out:
Hope this helps.
I went ahead and checked out the device viewports chrome offers. Here is an album of two images both supposedly representing my mobile site.
Why is Chromes viewport displaying differently than whats really on the site? The Chrome viewport looks perfect while the mobile version on the actual phone has elements that are not even present on the desktop version.
Hi @mrmug,
In this case, it would be best that you will upload your setup in a staging site so we could check your setup further. At the moment, we could not identify the problem and we are not just assuming what could be the problem.
After uploading your setup in a staging site, share us your admin credentials so we could check your setup closer.
Don’t forget to set it in a secure note.
Thanks.
