Mixed Content problems

Hi,

I recently started having mixed content problems with a clients website. The site was working fine a few weeks ago.

Site is: https://coastaldetailing.com.au/

I lodged a support ticket with my hosting company as they originally flagged an error in the log report of the site.

Here is the reply they came back to me with:

I have ran a search and replace to update all URLs in the database from HTTP:// to HTTPS://, however, there were still resources being blocked due to the mixed content tag.

Since all database permalinks have been updated properly, this would imply that the resources for your pages are loaded via URLs in the CSS/layout structure of your website. Your theme is responsible for such elements, as such I would advise regenerating the CSS/JS/layout of your Pro theme to reflect the change. You may need to consult with the theme developer on how this can be achieved.

THanks,
Darren.

Hi Darren,

Thank you for writing in, the page contents are saved in the database. That means your search and replace method did not successfully update all the HTTP entry in the database.

This is actually a common issue, you can follow the same solution provided here.

Remember to re-index/re-save your permalinks under Settings > Permalinks and to clear all your caching plugin/features after doing this.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

Awesome - Worked perfectly.

Thanks Friech!

You’re most welcome, D.
