Hello, am having the same issue as some, and I’ve done everything from clear browser cache, to clear site cache, plugin cache, disabled plugins, and I still cannot find the issue. I’ve disabled everything except cornerstone itself and still an issue.

Please help!

There hasn’t been a definitive solution for anyone on the forum. I wasted too much time today trying to find the source of this error and following the recommendations to eliminate it. I can’t afford to be locked out like this so my solution may have to be to move away from X.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in!

Please check for the following first:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/1955. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/621 for more details.

  2. Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you're using a CDN, please clear the CDN's cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it's fixed, you'll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.

  6. Contact your hosting provider to increase your allocated memory and max execution time.

And please make sure that you are using the latest versions.
Our latest versions are:

  • Pro theme 1.2.7
  • X theme 5.2.5
  • Cornerstone 2.1.7

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Please let us know how it goes.

Thank you, RueNel. I hadn’t thought of there being a problem with some custom Javascript since the error didn’t show up right away. I removed the code and Cornerstone is working fine now. Cheers!

You’re always welcome and glad this is now sorted out for you!

@kedskit5, do let us know if this steps also work for you or in case you need help further.

After logging in this morning, it seems to be working. I guess my computer was the issue. Thank you!

Glad to hear it’s now working.

Cheers!
