Missing Shop/Product Category/404 Titles with Pro Headers

In the Pro known issues document the following is listed:

“Landmark header, breadcrumbs and portfolio filters aren’t available…”

Can you please confirm this is the reason why the shop/product category/404/etc. page titles are removed when Pro headers are enabled? If so, is there any workaround or are we waiting on a patch for resolution?

Hi There,

Yes, that is correct. When using Pro headers, the content of the entire header depends on what we built on the builder and not on the theme options settings like when using legacy headers. The developer are working on an elements that will get this information automatically. We will let you know once we have update on this one. Thank you for understanding.

Hi Lely

Is there a way to use a ‘Headline’ element, or something similar to embed the Page Titles in a secondary Header Bar?

If we can, can you please provide an example of the text/code required to auto-embed the relevant Page Title in the second bar?

And even potentially some code for Breadcrumbs if relatively straightforward?

Cheers,
Sam

Regretfully, that is not possible since the Headline element is static. You could try using a Text element and use a third party plugin which has a dynamic title and breadcrumbs shortcodes and insert those in there. I have no idea if such a plugin exists but you could also hire a developer to build those shortcodes for you.

Thanks.

If you’re looking for a solution to this you can create a shortcode using this article here - worked like a charm for me

Ah nice! Thanks!

Doesn’t look like they’ve resolved the above ‘Landmark header’ issue as yet also, and it’s been a year… :frowning:

Aaand I literally just read this in the July 18 Status Report:

Directive Parsing will allow you to pull through contextual details into the fields of your Elements. For example, create a headline Element that populates with the current page title or an image Element that uses the featured image. You’ll also have access to WooCommerce cart information allowing you to display the cart total or item count as part of the cart icon. This concept will be used heavily throughout the Layout Builder.

:joy: :tada:

Hi,

Yes, that will be part of the Layout Builder Cycle.

Have a great day!
