Missing Login Key for Under Construction Page

Between last night and this afternoon the Login Key is missing on the Under Construction Key!

What is happening? I have been inviting people to look at what I’m doing and now they’re being blocked?

There is no reason this should be happening!

I have removed, updated and added the password and updated several times, still no login key!

I have, since my initial post, deactivated, deleted, reinstalled, reactivated and, when I saw that the data remained, demoved the logo, password, updated and turned off the Under Construction page and deactivated the plugin once again, deleted, reinstalled, turned the page on, inserted the logo and again added the password.

A huge waste of time with the login key still missing!

It’s fours since I posted and I’m still crippled and not feeling appreciated.

This has been a very frustrating experience however I have found that using a “Custom Page” caused the Login Key to appear. Not the solution I want but as a hack it’s the best I can do.

OK, I created my own custom page and the key is again visible and my guests are again able to access my site.

Apparently there is a bug with the plugin that needs to be addressed. Hopefully my solution will help others if/when it happens to someone else…

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

I checked on multiple devices and key icon is available on the very right. It’s almost noticeable due to the color. Would you mind providing a screenshot of what you’re getting?

Update: Looks like it’s due to cache after I disabled the custom under construction. But yes, it’s a bug and it’s already on our issue tracker.

Thanks!

Hey Rad,

I’ll look into this further once I’m officially awake but I’m thinking that it could be that the background color is very close to the color of the key causing the key to be lost in the background? On that note, the option to change the color of the key would be a great fix… Just a thought.

BTW: I am not using any cache and did check to make sure it wasn’t device or browser specific and did also flush the browser cache on both my Galaxy Note 8 and my Surface Pro 4… Oh and also had a few friends check to see if they had the same issue on their laptops, Macs and iPhones… Which they did… Sorry I didn’t include that information with my diagnosis.

Thanks,

Greg

Hi Greg,

You can change the key icon color by adding this custom CSS under Pro > Theme Options > CSS:

#tco-under-construction-bypass span {
    color: #000;
}

Regards!

Thanks Thai and I have added it to my notes. I was thinking that, when fixing the bug, it would be a beneficial addition for the general public.

Hi there,

All bugs are added to our issue tracker but updates and some changes should be available in our changelog’s page once the update became available.

Thanks!
