Missing layers upon initial slider revolution load

Hi,

I’ve put the URL and credentials in the private note.

I’ve had slider revolution working on this website for a long time working very successfully. For some reason the text layers are missing on the homepage until the carousel goes around once.

After the entire carousel goes around the 6th slide (you can skip to slide 6 without having to wait) the headlines/text all appear correctly.

I have shown in 2 screenshots the slider when loading the homepage and the slider after the 6th slide and you can see on the first stint the words are missing.

I have checked with my host who have checked all potential caching issues.
I have deactivated and reactivated all plugins without success.

When viewing the slider in the backend using preview it still shows the same behaviour which leads me to believe the slider itself is faulty or a setting must have triggered during an update. Either way I’m stuck and not sure what the problem is.

Can you help investigate?

Hi Jay,

Thanks for reaching out.

There are javascript errors originating from the slider, which is yes, related to timeline animation of the layers. Though, I can’t reproduce this on my installation and the difference that I can see is cache and PHP version. Could you try turning off your SG cache and upgrading your PHP to 7.2?

Then let us know and we’ll continue checking.

Thanks!

Strange isn’t it - it’s totally isolated to the slider itself and it worked perfectly for so long.

I have changed the pHp version and the caching plugin but unfortunately this didn’t work :frowning:

What say you Rad?

Hi Jay,

Upon checking your website, I could see that there are 27 active plugins.

  • Please try testing a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  • Switch to the parent theme to check if the issue persists.

  • Turn off all the cache plugins.

  • If you’re using a CDN(ex: CloudFlare), please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services. For the CloudFlare you also need to follow the steps below besides the developer mode: https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/1

Let us know how it goes!

Hi Thai,

As I mentioned in my previous post I have gone through each plugin and tested for conflicts hence why the other suggestion was made by Rad.

Also the link you have sent me is broken

Many Thanks

The Next Slide layer is causing the issue.

Please delete it and also delete the rest of the slides or only setup one slide for consistency.

I’ve tested that setup in the duplicate of your slider and it works.

Hope that helps.

Slight problem - since you’ve gone in the slider is set to show on the homepage but it has disappeared? I’m not sure what setting has been triggered?

Thank you very much for investigating! As always Christian you are very helpful. May want to let the theme punch guys know that this doesn’t work anymore as it was an exact copy of their template which I use on another website.

Hi,

It was this setting, I turned it on and the slider is now showing up.

Thanks
