I disabled all active plugins and the sidebar option is still not under Appearance.
Everything is up to date, caches clear.
Any ideas appreciated.

As you are using X Theme 6.5.6, I see that you are using Cornerstone 3.5.4. Please update Cornerstone to the latest version 3.5.6 to avoid any compatibility related issue
Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
