I recently, updated my site and my cornerstone stone plugin is missing. Now my site is broken.
How can I restore the cornerstone plugin? I don’t have a backup of the site.
Please advise.

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully we cannot check your site because the given credentials has very limited privileges. You need to make the role as an Administrator so that we can take a closer look. In the meantime, please go to X > Validation and wait for a few seconds while Cornerstone may be installed in the background. If it fails, there must be something wrong with your site like a permission issue maybe. We need to login and figure it out.

To install the Cornerstone plugin that is compatible with your current X theme, just log in to your dashboard then at the top of the screen you will see this option.
All you need to do is click the link and it will automatically install the Cornerstone plugin.

When I do that nothing happens because the cornerstone plugin isn’t there.

It seems that the Cornerstone plugin is corrupted that’s why it is not showing in the plugin lists. That being said, I deleted the Cornerstone plugin in the wp-content/plugins directory then I install it again.
But, you can’t activate the Cornerstone plugin at the moment because it is throwing some errors.
The issue has something to do with the PHP version. Currently, your website PHP version is 5.6.38 and it is highly recommendable to update your PHP version to 7.4 or up. I suggest that you reach out to your hosting provider and ask them to update your PHP version.
