Missing code/disappearing videos

bostonhypnosis.com home page:

I was doing some text editing in Cornerstone in the top area of the home page and the videos I have elsewhere on the page spontaneously disappeared. The embed code code is clearly visible in cornerstone Screenshot - 4_12_21 , 3_03_34 PM|333x500 ) but it’s not coming up on the page when I look at the code in developer mode. Can you tell me how I can fix this? Thanks.

the full code (that I haven’t touched at all) is:

Hello @bmahoney59,

Thanks for writing to us.

I checked your site it seems that you are using the child theme but it is not properly installed. I would suggest you install the X child theme properly from here https://theme.co/docs/child-themes or you can activate the parent theme(X theme) and then check it again. Please check the screenshot in the secure note.

I would suggest you troubleshoot with a few of the common issues as well.

  1. Testing for Plugin Conflict
  2. CSS/JS Customization
  3. Version Compatibility
  4. Disabling Cache
  5. Child Theme

If it doesn’t work for you please let us know.

Thanks

Thanks for your help.

Fixing the child theme didn’t solve the problem with the missing videos, but it did create a new one. Most of the fonts on the site change to bold and the color of the buttons changes from gold to black. It happens when I reinstall the child theme or activate x theme. I can solve the missing video problem by restoring my site from a backup (I didn’t want to have to do it before as it cost me a day’s work). When I look at the CSS for the restored child theme, it’s the same as it was for the corrupted child theme.

Right now the live version of the site is from a backup. Normal fonts, videos visible, everything working well…but corrupted child theme. Can you give me any guidance in how I can replace or fix the corrupted theme without breaking other things? If not, can you tell how to fix the fonts? When I look in the font controls for the theme, it looks like everything is set correctly, it’s just not displaying that way.

Thanks.

Hi Brian,

It might be some issue with the version of the theme you are using previously. Now it is working fine with the updated version of theme.

Thanks

So even though it still looks broken in the ‘appearance’ window, it’s 100% ok?

Hello @bmahoney59,

Please delete the classic and the default theme first.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

OK, I’ve done that. The child theme still isn’t displaying correctly in the appearance area, though.

Is it true to say it’s installed correctly/100% fine? I’m ok if it is, but if it’s not, I’d like to fix it and could use come guidance (see note above for what happens when I delete and reinstall it).

Thanks.

Hello Brian,

Your Child theme does not have any screenshot image. I went ahead and uploaded a screenshot image so that it will display the child theme name.

Check it out now.
