Missing button background colours + string?

Hi all,

Having a few weird issues on my site after updating. First off, it won’t let me set button backgrounds for stuff. Just stays as transparent, but if I go and try to add it as actual CSS, it’ll change it, which is odd.

Secondly, across the site after some of the sections, it’s displaying a ’ String(#) “” ’ message. I can’t seem to figure out where it’s coming from though.

I’ve tried clearing the cornerstone cache already, no luck.

Thanks,
Kind regards,

Hi @Keanu,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your website and found the issue with the String mentioned by you, but regretfully can’t find the issue with the Button background color. I have tried login into the Admin Dashboard, but unfortunately, the given credentials do not work.

Thanks

Afternoon @tristup

Apologies for that! Please see latest secure note for the re-genned password

Thanks

Hi Keanu,

The string on your website was already gone when I tried to update your Pro to the latest version. I suspect that it was already fixed by our developers. On the other hand, would you mind sharing a screenshot of what do you mean by button backgrounds? In that way, we can check it properly.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Hi @marc_a

Can confirm the string issue is all sorted, thanks! With regards to the button, it’s on the Cloud Services page that they’re broken it seems. I think it goes back to when I accidentally deleted one of the brand colours (Side note, possibly feature request of “Are you sure?” when deleting brand colours. Was a nightmare going through and re-adding it to everywhere!) but yeah. So If you click onto one of the buttons, it shows the background as having a colour and transparent when hovered over, which is correct, but it isn’t actually showing on the button. Hopefully that makes sense?

Hi @marc_a,

Further to this, I think this might be a bug. I’ve been messing around on another page that was working, and it appears that if you set the background colour to transparent on the interaction, it removes the base colour. However if you set the background to say white, it’ll add the base colour back in.

Thanks,

Hi Keanu,

Thank you for the clarifications, yes I can confirm this bug. The issue is the color picker does not accept the keyword transparent on this latest release. I’ve submitted this to our issue tracker so the developers will be made aware of it.

For now, to fix your issue, you need to set the interaction color of the button to rgba(0, 0, 0, 0), this is the same as setting the color to transparent

Thank you for understanding,

Hi @Keanu,

Thanks again for bringing this to our attention. I have confirmed it has been corrected for the next point release. This means setting transparent will work again and you won’t need to use the rgba workaround.
