Missing Author and About Elements in Cornerstone

Hello! I’m trying to build out the front page of my site, but I’m wondering if I’m missing a few Elements. I can see the ‘About’ Element in the Templates List (Starter: About), but it doesn’t load when I try to add it to a page from Templates, nor does it appear in the Elements list.

The Author Element is also missing from the list, there’s only the Classic: Author option. Help!

The about part of the demo is not an element but just templates, but yes, there should be author element. Would you mind providing the site’s URL that has this issue? And please provide your admin login credentials in the secure note for further testing.

Hey Rad. I can’t seem to import the template though. It works fine for the Sales Page/Pricing Plans, but not for About. Details in the secure note.

Hello Matt,

The given credentials does not work for us. It seems that the password is not correct.
I have tested the About template on my local testing serving and it is working perfectly.

Yeah, I know the process, but for whatever reason it doesn’t insert the template (although the green box saying it has does pop up). Apologies, password was wrong - updated in the new note.

Hey Matt,

The Starter Templates might have not finished importing so it they got corrupted. Here’s what I did to resolve that.

  1. I saved the custom only content template (fuzzy-fiction) you made so I could import it back later.
  2. Deleted all templates
  3. Ran the Starter Templates import again.
  4. Imported your custom template.

Now the About and other templates can be used.
