Migration Path from xTheme to Pro

I have an older site with a lot of custom programming. I would like to upgrade to Pro to use some of its features but dont want to break anything. Question - If I change themes will any CSS or PHP customization in the child theme code be left behind. Does X Theme may have a way of copying over
settings and customizations in the theme settings (ie. DB), and will the file changes need to be moved over and updated as needed via a manual process??

So I ask ThemeCo support if there is a migration path for customizations in X Theme moving to Pro. Thx.

Thanks for reaching out.
The Theme Update will not affect any code written into the child theme. It has been strongly recommended to use the updated theme and plugins always to avoid any incompatibility issues.

Still, I recommend you take a backup of your database and the files before you update it. So if anything goes wrong, you can restore it from the backup.
