Migrating to Child Theme after Installing Theme

Our site has been using the PRO theme for quite a while now. If we upgrade to using a Child Theme instead, will we lose a lot of the custom CSS that we have put in place or lose anything else?

Thanks for reaching out.
Updating the theme will not affect the custom CSS if that is not written to any files inside the parent theme. If you have any additional file in your parent theme, I would request you to move the file into the child theme and then update. You can also copy your live site to a staging server and update the theme and if everything goes fine, you can migrate into your live server.
