Migrated website to new host, now website is not displaying correctly

Hello,

I recently migrated my website (see secure message) from hostgator to cloudways. Everything seems to have migrated correctly, but now my website is not displaying correctly.

It will work correctly while I am logged in to the Wordpress back-end, but our the public site is not loading anything.

Please help.

Hello @bretmackey,

Thanks for writing to us.

It seems that there was an issue of the cache of your staging server because of that the site’s style was not rendering properly. I have purged all the cache of Swift Performance plugin from your dashboard and site is working fine at my end. I would suggest you clear your browser cache and then check it again.

Please note that you must troubleshoot a few common issues before posting a new thread.

Thanks

Hello, the site is not working properly.

It will work fine if you are logged into the backend, but if you are not logged in, then the site looks different and is broken. Why is it doing that.

I did clear my browser cache as well.

Hello @bretmackey,

Please go to your plugins section and temporarily deactivate Swift Performance plugin. Your plugin is caching the site that is what you are seeing. You also need to clear your browser cache or use private browsing mode before testing the site again.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Deactivated it and cleared browser cache, additionally tried private browsing to test it as well, it is not working. This is what I am seeing.

Hello @bretmackey,

When I am logged in, I am seeing this:

When I test your site in other browsers and not logged in, I am seeing a blank page. After investigating, I found out that you are using Cloudflare. Right after your updates, please log in to your Cloudflare account and purge your site cache. You also need to regenerate the minified CSS and JS files in Cloudflare.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Hello @bretmackey,

I have checked your site and I can confirm that the Swift Performance plugin is already disabled. Still, when I view the source code of the page, it is still served from a cached version:

I am suspecting the Cloudflare is serving the old cache of the site. Please login to your Cloudflare and enable the Development and test your site again. If nothing is helping, kindly provide us access to your Cloudflare so that we can investigate further.

Best Regards.

Followed your instructions, it did not fix the issue. I will provide the login credentials in a secure note.

Hello @bretmackey,

I have logged in to your Cloudflare and purge the site cache many times. I also enabled Breeze plugin, cleared the plugin cache then deactivate it. I went back to Cloudflare and purge the site caches again. When I test your site on my browser, I have reset my browser and force it to reload the fresh copy of the site from your server and now it is working on my end. Please do a force refresh on your end too when testing the site.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

I have tried that method and I cannot get the website to load properly…

Seems as though this has finally resolved itself. I am sure it was that caching issue.

Thank you for the help!

Hello @bretmackey,

You are most welcome. It is good to know that the issue is now resolved.
Please do not hesitate to create another thread if you need any other help.
