Meta description for page and post

Hello,

Please i need to know how to add meta description for page and posts without plugin.

I tried Yoast it is not giving me any additional ranking for 2 years and the Plugin has a problem with sitemaps.
I tried All in one SEO it is old style with Keyword i can add but without giving any advantages except adding page meta description.
My site is running now without SEO plugin because the publisher of those plugin don’t offer any support.

Would you please help me on how to add manually meta description for each post and page?
I want to add this <meta name="Description" content="Description about the page.">
I stopped publishing on my website and snce 3 days i am recovering my website from the modifications Yoast had done to my permalinks structure.

I cannot stay without SEO optimization and it is a personal website.

There is a plugin from JETPACK offered by Wordpress (premium) but i don’t know its popularity).

Regretfully, this particular customization request is outside the scope of our support as this is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your customization of it. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself.
