Menu not displaying on desktop

I just upgraded X/Cornerstone to 6.0.4 on my site (www.newliferanch.com) and now the menu won’t open in desktop. It does open in mobile (less than 980px). I’ve disabled all the plugins to see if they were causing a conflict, but to no avail.

The company that built my website recently went out of business (wouldn’t ya know it), so I am scrambling to figure out the problem!

Hello @theysaybuild,

T can confirm that on hhttp://www.newliferanch.com/ mobile hamburger menu is working fine but desktop menu icon is not working. Upon further checking I can see that you are running latest version of X Theme and Cornerstone.

Off late did you add any customizations for navigation menu item? If so, please try removing them and see if hamburger menu is working. If it does, verify the code and make necessary adjustments.

In case problem is still there, then please please try testing for plugin conflict. You can do that by deactivating all plugins and see if mobile menu is working. If you see it’s working then there must be plugin or plugins causing conflict. You can reactivate one at a time to narrow down the plugin or plugins causing the issue.

Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

I tried deactiviating and reactiving the plugins, but that did not solve the problem.

I think the company that built our website may have done some custom navigation code, but that company is out of business now and I am stuck! Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @theysaybuild,

Thanks for updating the thread.

Please test bellow solutions:

  • Check if there is any navigation related code present under X > Theme Options > CSS and JS and Appearance > Editor. If yes, then try removing them and text the navigation again.
  • If above solution does not help, then try deactivating and deleting Cornerstone from Plugins > Installed plugins. Deleting Cornerstone won’t delete the posts and pages you have created with Cornerstone. After that Visit X > Validation to automatically install Cornerstone. Once you have done that, please test the website again.

If none of the above solutions works out, then please share login details in a secure note for us to take a closer look.

Thanks.
