Menu Items Showing in Different Colors

Hi,

I have a weird issue. I added two custom links to my menu. For some reason, those custom links are showing in red while the others show in white. It is a one page navigation site and the links in the menu are all custom links using the # to anchored items. I can’t figure out why some look like they are active and the others don’t. Any help is appreciated.

Also, this site was dormant for a year and when I updated to the latest version of everything, I have ended up with random code at the bottom of the page that I cannot figure out how to get rid of. If you could point me in the right direction for that as well I would greatly appreciate it.

I’ll leave a secure note with details.

Hello @petitshoo,

Thanks for writing in!

The given credentials do not work for us. It seems that the password is not correct. By the way, did you added this custom CSS in your header?

.e56-11.x-menu > li > .x-anchor:hover .x-anchor-text-primary, .e56-11.x-menu > li > .x-anchor[class*="active"] .x-anchor-text-primary, [data-x-effect-provider*="colors"]:hover .e56-11.x-menu > li > .x-anchor .x-anchor-text-primary {
    color: #828486;
}

Please remove the custom CSS.

Best Regards.

No, I don’t have that CSS in my document. I may have tried it, but it is out now. I also updated the password and fixed it in the Secure Note.

Thank you,
Jen

Hello Jen,

I have investigated further and the issue is that you have not yet added section IDs. I went ahead and fixed the issue by assigning each corresponding section with the right ID.

Check your homepage now.

Thank you for that. I thought I had set the ID’s but must’ve missed something with them.

Were you able to take a look at the excess code that is at the bottom of my page? I can’t figure out why it is there or how to get rid of it. It happened after upgrading the theme after a year of no updates (the client stalled out on the redesign). Let me know if you would prefer me to open a new topic on this issue.

Thanks,
Jen

And never mind! As I was going through I had ONE Classic Row left that I had not replaced yet. When I replaced it with a new row the code went away. Phew. Thank you again for all your help!

We are delighted to assist you with this.

Cheers!
