Menu for specific page and its children

We’ve got a page “Resonate” and a menu specific for it and it’s 3 child pages which works fine on the parent page, but the children pages revert to the main menu.

How do I get that menu to show up on the parent and all pages whose parent is “Resonate”? Do I need to specify each child page in the Conditions section??

Hello @sjr1917,

Thanks for writing in!

You will have to assign the menu to the child pages as well. Are you using the Navigation Inline element? We would be happy to double check your site if we can log in. You can create a secure note in your next reply with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WP login URL
– WP username
– WP password
– WP Administrator Role
– Confirmation that we can access and make changes to your site

Hello @sjr1917,

Yes, connecting each child page directly so the menu works correctly is a good approach that’s considered best practice, as it ensures proper linking and consistent navigation behavior. Regarding the WordPress slug issue, that can happen if WordPress automatically reserves a slug due to an attachment (like an image or media file) or a previously deleted page using the same name. Even if it’s not visible in the Pages or Posts list, WordPress may still have it stored in the database. Deleting or renaming the attachment, as you did, allows the slug to be reused so that’s normal behavior.

Thanks

Thanks for the help! Theme.co support, like it’s products is #1 in my book!

You are most welcome, @sjr1917.
