Menu drop downs not working

Hello,
I just updated my website to Wordpress 6.3.1 and it broke all of my drop down menus on multiple websites:




When I try to now update to X 10.3.8 (I am currently on 10.2.7), it is telling me that it cannot update the theme. I have an error saying " An error occurred while updating X: **Could not create the upgrade-temp-backup directory."

I have never had an error updating before, I have made no changes to my website or to my hosting. Can you please assist?

Thanks for reaching out!

Upon checking your website, there’s a compatibility issue with the X and the Cornerstone plugin. Please do as follows:

  • Uninstall and delete your Cornerstone plugin
  • Update X to the latest version ( if you cannot update it directly on your dashboard, you can download the latest version of the theme from your themeco account and upload it to your website )
  • Install the compatible Cornerstone plugin, please refer to the image below.

This resolved the issue on those sites, thank you!

I have one other site having an issue on the menu: https://www.irenebugliari.com/
This site uses X Pro - on mobile, the mobile menu icon is not appearing correctly. I updated and I am on X Pro 6.3.8 - do you know why the menu icon is suddenly broken?

Hey Kate,

We’re glad that it resolves the issue on those website. On the other hand, on your Pro website issue, I suspect that it has something to do with the cache and CORS. Please check these articles on how you can fix it.
