Menu Artifacts After Cornerstone & X Theme Updates

Hello - I just updated to the latest version of X and Cornerstone on the current WP version (6.4.1). After the update, the main and dropdown menu is displaying odd character artifacts, as highlighted in this picture:

This displays on all devices and browsers. However, it only shows the artifacts as a horizontal menu. When it drops into a mobile menu, the artifacts do not appear.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Tyler,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked the website listed in your Themeco Account and found some additional selector has been added to the menu. I have checked the same in my local environment but didn’t find the same. It might be due to the improper update of Cornerstone. I would suggest you update it by following the below steps.

  1. Delete the existing Cornerstone.
  2. After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be the latest version.

If that does not help, there might be some different reasons behind your issue. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us recognize the reason.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue
5.CSS/JS Customization
6.Disabling Cache
7.Disabling CDN

Hey Tyler,

Thanks for updating in! I have checked your header and I could replicate the issue on my send. I also noticed that the child theme is already active. This is what I am seeing now:

Clear your cache and test your site again.

Cheers.
