Mega navigation with categorized WooCommerce products

Hi!

Using the custom header tool, is it possible to create a navigation menu with several categories + sub categories of Woo products like in the photo attached?

Or do I need to use Uber Menu plugin for this?

I started making a regular menu like this but it seems like I can’t get all the products in there in a large mega menu - correct?

Hi Lobsterass,

Thanks for reaching out.
You can use the Uber Menu extension to create the multi-column submenus as shown in the picture. You can find more information on Uber Menu and multi-column submenus from the following links:

  1. https://theme.co/docs/ubermenu
  2. https://sevenspark.com/docs/ubermenu-3/settings/submenu/columns

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Thanx, but is there a way to just add the Uber Menu with shortcode or something to the already created header?

Hi @Lobsterass,

Yes, you can add the Uber Menu as a shortcode to the already created header, please refer to this one: https://theme.co/docs/ubermenu#ubermenu-and-the-pro-header-builder.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Continuing the discussion from Mega navigation with categorized WooCommerce products:

Hi!

Thanx! I got the Uber Menu shortcode into my Pro header now: http://webshop.securitybrands.se/

Could you please tell me how to get my product categories to show up as sub nav in the Uber Menu? I know how to get regular pages in there but not categorized products.

Should the 6 product groups (main inline nav) be custom links like the first one, INBROTTSLARM or regular pages like the other 5?

How do I get the product categories in a sidebar, like in the photo? Is it a plugin or do I make it with global blocks or something?

(There are product categories made)

Hello @Lobsterass,

1.) To display the product categories on the sidebar, simply use the WooCommerce Product Category widget. Go to Appearance > Widgets and simply add the WooCommerce Product Category to the Main Sidebar. For more details about the different WooCommerce widgets, kindly check this out:

2.) It is best that you check out the documentation on how you can create the UberMenu Megamenu layout.

Hope this helps.

Thanx! Could you please tell me how I get the woo sidebar forever present on ALL pages?
It makes no sense that the product categories sometimes show sidebar and sometimes not - as I believe I’ve made them all the same.

Is there a way to add checkboxes to the sidebar items so that the user can select and view several prod sub categories at once?

Hi @Lobsterass,

It seems that a custom sidebar has been created and assigned to those categories. To get the widgets in those pages, you need to add the widget into that respective sidebar named Inbrottslarm or deselect the categories from custom sidebar options.
Please find the screenshot describing the settings of the custom sidebar.

Regretfully, there is no such option for the category checkbox filter(s), is required customization and beyond the scope of our theme support. I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you to do the customization or you can avail of our newly launched service called One, where the customization questions are answered.
Alternatively, you can try with the following free plugin from WordPress repository, which may help you.

Please remember that we don’t offer any support or investigation on 3rd party plugins or related issues.

Thanks
